Go digital with converting environment and know-how from the Danish National Library for the Blind.
Nota has developed a studio for converting analogue talking books to digital DAISY or NISO format.
It is a carefully prepared and well tested environment.
The conversion process needs very little human interaction and is very fast.
After the conversion highly skilled analysts with years of experience analyse the quality of the output according to the structure in the book (e.g. pages, chapters). If needed, parts of the digital book may be generated with synthetic speech.
The digital talking book is digitally archived and burnt in two copies on two separate CD-Roms with e.g. title and bar code.
Suitable solution for costumers who do not want to worry about how to turn their collection digital.
Nota offers to convert audio collections at Nota in Denmark. The costumer only needs to deliver the audiobooks. According to the agreement Nota handles the whole conversion process with its own expertise, employees and technology.
Suitable solution for costumers who have IT competence but need help setting up a converting environment.
Nota offers to build a new installation at the costumer's own location. As this is a more expensive solution it is recommended for countries far from Denmark and libraries with huge collections of talking books. In return Nota guarantees a fully functional installation and training of staff on location.
The collection of talking books at Nota contains 90.000 master tapes or 12.000 book titles. Nota began converting in February 2002.
Nota has already converted the collection of the Swiss Library for the Blind (CAB). Currently, Nota is converting for the Norwegian Library for the Blind (NLB).
Nota has the experience - why not make use of it?
